ILR SET(M) with limited leave to remain

Post by Gringomariner » Mon Sep 23, 2019 6:13 am

Hi all,
I really appreciate if someone can shade some light or have same experience.

My now wife applied for partner visa on the 5 year route in 2014 and she got a type D visa in her passport for 33 months. She arrived in the UK on the 14 of July 2014.

She renewed the visa and got her BRP in 2016 for another 30 months, the letter confirming this was successful states that she has limited leave to remain. Also last year 2018 we got married, not sure if this might change anything.

So far she has been in the UK for five years so I wonder if she can now apply for SET (M) or does she need to get first Further leave to remain and then SET (M)

Thanks in advance.

She should apply under SET(M) before her current visa expires.
B1 English + the Life in The UK test are required.

Thanks in advance.
