UK Embassy in Rabat flooded

Does anyone know anything more about this? My partner had an appointment last Monday 14 July to pick up his passport and get a Yes / No on a Visitor Visa. He got to the Embassy and it was closed.

I'm not sure when it closed, but we were there the previous Monday 7 July and it was fine. Perhaps it happened weekend of 12 - 11?

I tried phoning the Moroccan desk of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office here in the UK and the guy was very helpful and called me back the next day to say that the staff would call my partner (fiance) to hopefully give him a new appointment Monday 21 or Tuesday 22. However no-one has called him and the number is engaged when he tries to call (not sure exactly which number he was given to call when he went to the Embassy).

He's going to go to the Embassy again today and see what he can see. But he can't hang on in Rabat much longer as he is from Marrakech and needs to get back.

Anyone have any advice on what he could do? He would like his passport back!

F.
