Regarding UK Tier 4 student Visa- Indian Passport Holder- Applying from Ireland- TB Test ?

Post by ghariharan95 » Mon Sep 23, 2019 2:59 pm

Dear Experts,

I need your guidance and suggestion here.
I arrived from India to Limerick, Ireland last week (16th Sep'19) for PhD Study at University of Limerick, and now my PhD programme is made as the combined one with University of Bristol, UK. I need to go to Bristol for course works for one year (probably in end of October)

Now I am in need to apply for UK study Tier-4 Visa but UK Visa website shows that I need to get a TB test done as this is necessary for Indian nationals who has not been in non-TB country for at least 6 months.
The problem starts here , There are no authorized TB test centers in Ireland.
How should I approach this problem ?

Should I just book an appointment and go to UK embassy , tell them as there are no authorized centers in Ireland I could not get this done (Or) shall I do my TB Test in any of the reputed medical centers in Ireland and attached with my Visa application?

Please help.

Thanks

Your course in the UK starts from October and you still haven't started to apply for a study visa yet? The embassy here is notoriously slow for any visa applications.

Normally these courses should have informed you well in advance that you need to apply for another UK visa, before you come to Ireland.

I had a Chinese friend who went to Germany initially and were asked to provide a TB test cert when she wanted to work in the UK after staying in Germany for 4 months. She was forced to go back to China to conduct the test. This was quite a few years ago though.
