UK ICT Tier 2 Long Term Extension

Hi
I am currently on a long term ICT tier 2 visa and my BRP is expiring on end of March 2020. I have heard that one can only apply for an extension 90-30 days before the expiry date.
However, I am due to travel to my native country in 1st week of March 2020. Is there any way I can apply for the extension early , so that I have my new BRP in hand before I travel.

I do not think there is a restriction on how soon you can apply for extension. Technically with a new Cos with new dates you could make extension application anytime.

But in case of ICT will your employer be interested to do this earlier? I know most of ICT sponsors do not issue cos for extension earlier than 3 months.
