new Naturalisation application after refusal

Hello everyone,
I need some advice. I came to the UK in 2008 on a visitors visa, and then sought asylum after a few months. I got my ILR in 2016, and in 2017 I applied for citizenship. my app was refused under 'good character'.. the HO stated that my app was refused because I did not seek asylum as soon as I entered the country and they advised I apply again in 2018.

my question is: do i need to mention this refusal in the new application? if yes,how? I gave them the reason for not seeking asylum on arrival during my asylum interview... do I have to put this reason in the new application again? Also am not working at the moment, is this going to be an issue?

Read the pertinent guidances and run a dummy form.
1.don’t think the form asks for previous refusals. If it does then you would have to state facts.

Hi Leex,

Good luck for your BC. Could you please let me know what date of your first DLR? As per home office BC guide line 10 years from first VISA/DLR.

@Khalidhaku, I arrived in the UK in April 2008 but sought asylum in september 2008. So the HO advised to reapply for BC Not before september 2018.
