**Expired UK BRP Lost**

Hello,

I hope this website can help me with some piece of advice, suggestions, etc.

I applied for Indefinite Leave to Remain and I got my decision within 1 day as successful . I got my new BRP in a post with a covering letter with all information and asking me to cut my expired BRP and post it back to an address.

Long story in short. We had an emergency with our daughters health so was in hospital for few days and by the time we were back to home and normal life, we lost BRP somewhere. Looked everywhere, asked hospital if they got by any chance, not sure if daughter got it handy from somewhere and lost it.

It's not found yet, so i'm not sure how to report this, as the options the lost BRP link in Gov.uk have is to apply for replacement, which I don't need as I got my new ILR BRP already, another one is cancel which is again not needed as if I cancel I am not sure will my ILR BRP will be cancelled?

Can someone help me, please?

Hello

You can report the loss to the police and get a report from them. You can then send the report instead of sending the BRP. Add a cover letter explaining that the document is lost so they won't be expecting it back.
