Naturalisation

Hi! I've applied for naturalisation about three weeks ago but didn't declare a penalty for disorder (shoplifting) as is passed about 7 years and wasn't sure if I need to declare. What should I do now? Please if anyone can advise me ASAP

Naturalisation

Post by Mushroom » Sat Nov 09, 2019 8:50 pm

Hi! Just applied for my naturalisation couple weeks ago bit didn't declare the PND( penalty notice for disorder) as it's already passed more than 6 years and from the comments I've been reading on internet I understood that if is the only non-caution I've got and older that 3 yrs I don't have to declare, but on some other comments says that it's better to send a letter to HO and infirm them. So what should I do now as already passed three weeks since I've submitted my application? Need advice ASAP please? Thank you!

You can read this:
british-citizenship/british-citizenship ... 05532.html

In nutshell, it wouldn't affect your application that you had that incident 7 years ago.

However, you should have declared it under section 3.5 of the AN application and give details:
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... -10-19.pdf

The Penalty for Disorder is not part of the criminal records but stays on the Police National Computer:

Well I guess that's the application form but I've already submitted my application( actually my solicitor did) three weeks ago so I was wondering if is anything to do now ? If I should send a letter to HO and inform them about it?
