When a divorce of British citizen can apply for British citizenship?

I have submitted a divorce letter which was issued to my husband who is a British citizen but he has refused to divorce me by contesting the divorce. Can I still apply for citizenship as the partner of British Citizen?

In respect of a British citizenship application, you are considered to be the spouse of a British national until the divorce decree absolute has been issued.
