British citizen (home office)

Post by Piyush666 » Tue Dec 03, 2019 12:56 am

Hi all

I applied for british citizen now after 1 and half week later i received an email from home office requesting more documents ( B1 certificate). They asked me to reply to email by 16th dec 2019.

Im not sure if i will get my certificate by then but if i need little more time like more one extend will home office give me? Or after 16th dec they will reject my application?

Thank you

Why is your certificate not readily available? If you can provide a compelling reason for extending the deadline, the caseworker might accept. So, I guess you just have to ask if you think the certificate is not going to be ready by 16th Dec. Generally, I want to believe that the extension will depend on the reason why you cannot provide a B1 certificate as you are expected to have it in place before submitting your application. All you can do now is just explain your situation and then ask for more time

Thanks for your reply,

It was my fault for not reading it carefully i had few certificates from the college and i was hoping they will accept them as b1 is entry 1 and i had lvl 1 certificate in english.

I already booked a b1 test going tomorrow for it but it may take about 7 days for certificates but juat worrying if i dont get it by 16th.
