Happy new year to all!
We have applied for my wife's Naturalisation and have a few questions/clarifications regarding the documents required for the Naturalisation appointment. My wife has a non-EU passport and has been granted ILR on the spouse visa 5 year route.
Here is the list of documents which have been stated on the naturalisation document checklist and my notes in red:
- The passport issued by (country) for Mrs (name)
This is my wife's passport.
- Mrs (name) certificate proving you have a speaking and listening qualification in English at B1 CEFR or higher
This is my wife's B1 certificate, same as the one which was used for her ILR application.
- Proof of living in the UK for Mrs (name)
This is my wife's passport, showing entry and exit stamps to and from the UK.
- Your marriage or civil partnership certificate
This is our marriage certificate.
- Mrs (name) proof of freedom from immigration time restrictions
This is my wife's BRP showing her indefinite leave to remain.
- Two referee declarations for Mrs (name)
This is two referee declarations signed by suitable people from the list, i.e. doctor, solicitor, teacher etc.
- Mrs (name) most recent tax year account statement and corresponding HMRC tax return as proof of self-employment
This is my wife's latest tax return.
- One proof of British citizenship for Mr (name)
This is a copy of every page of my British passport.
- Current Biometric Residence Permit for Mrs (name)
This is my wife's BRP.
Could you please advise if my notes in red are correct? Should we consider supplying any additional documents in addition to those on the checklist?
Thank you in advance.
