fee waiver for registering child as british citizen

Hi
my children born in UK and they are 4 and 6 years old. I have ILR on long residency basis. I heard some court dicision about the registration fee for british citizenship for children. this bbc news link is as follow.

so when will HO remove this fee?
or is there any option to avoid this fee?

Nothing changed yet, but keep an eye for further news in the coming weeks/months.
