Bank Statements

Post by swati46 » Wed Jul 30, 2008 2:30 pm

Would appreciate if somebody could answer my query

For the previous earnings I'm submitting my Salary Slips and Bank statements. I'm submitting the bank statements that I have recieved monthly in the past. They are on the bank letter head and stationary but they are not stamped and signed. ( The bank statements sent by bank are never signed and stamped.) . Do you think this is sufficient.

Thanks

If the bank statements you mentioned below are the ones directly coming from the bank then no problem. they are the official bank statements.

The ones that require stamping/sealed are those that are printed from the web.

Since this topic is raised on Bank statement I have one query related to Bank statement.

I have two salary bank accounts. UTI is of my previous company's and the HDFC is of my current company's.
My current company's salary is getting credited in my HDFC bank account and I would be showing maintainence funds from UTI bank a/c and the UTI a/c is on joint name (first name: me, second name: father)

Is this acceptable???

Your speedy response would be higly appriciated.

Thank you.

For maintenance funds, you must use a bank account where you are either the only account holder or a joint account holder with your spouse (if married). As per information posted by members here, BHC does not accept joint accounts with anyone other than spouse as evidence of maintenance funds. If in doubt, check with local BHC directly.

Yes! It's clearly noted in the Tier 1 policy guidance (if you've read it).

Hello
I also have some confusion regarding bank statement. I receive electronic bank statments of my Indian Salary so I requested my bank in India to give me paper bank statement. The bank gave a consolidated bank statement of last 12 months. It is printed and signed and stamped. Now my questions are

1. Is it acceptable as there is only one statement but it covers all the months (which I will highlight while submitting my application) that I want to claim.

2. Do I need to submit any letter from bank along with these statements?

Really appreciate any help.

Thanks

I have another query regarding my UK bank statement

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=29280

My UK salary slip and UK bank statement do not match exactly as amount transferred in my Bank acount also include some allowance part. But I am claiming points on the component that is mentioned in my salary slip. Does it make any difference as the two proof i will be submitting will not match exactly..

Thanks

Yes, no reason to worry on this.
coolwp wrote:Do I need to submit any letter from bank along with these statements?
Yes - to confirm the authenticity of the bank statement(s) - if the bank statement(s) is not on bank's letterheaded paper.

Thanks Sushdmehta

Could you please advice me in my UK earning also? As I have mentioned that my UK bank statement and UK salary slip does not match . Though I am qualifying enough point on the basis of my UK salary slip but the amount on my bank statement doesnot match with the salary slip. Is it OK if I mention in the cover letter that I am claiming point on the basis of my UK gross salary and amount in my Bank account also include my allowances (that I m not claiming) and paid by my employer together with my salary. Is it necesssary that they should exactly match with the net salary?

Thanks again

As suggested in the other post of yours, all you can do is to provide a detailed explanation in the cover letter. If this is done, I do not believe you will have a problem because -
a) bank statements will show money being credited by the employer (i.e. - you are not depositing money on your own), and
b)the amount you are claiming points for is less than the amount being credited to you (i.e. - you are being honest about the fact that you are unable to provide evidence of a part of your earnings and therefore not including that bit in your previous earnings).
