Travel abroad while waiting for response to MN1 form

Hi

I got my ILR in September 2019 and submitted my son's MN1 form in November 2019. He was born in the UK in January 2017 and is currently on a Tier 2 dependent visa which expires in September 2020. We went for the bio-metrics appointment in November 2019. To date we have not heard back from them.

We are going on away to Turkey in the third week of February 2020. Hopefully we would have received a reply by then. I just wanted to know that if in case we do not hear from them, is it ok for him to travel abroad while his application is still being processed? He has got his passport and his current Tier 2 dependent BRP. Is it going to affect his application in any way?
