DLR to ILR

Post by tosinrufai » Tue Jan 14, 2020 8:40 pm

Hi everyone,

Please i need some help with my application process.

I was granted DLR in December 2011 for 1 year and 8 months which was a bit weird as I was expecting 3 years.

I later applied to renew 2013 a few days before the expiry date and was granted 3 years in 2014.

I renewed and got another year in 2017 which expires in May 2020 but i need to travel in March and hoping to get the ILR in February 2020.
My question is - Can i count my 6 years from 2011 which means I should have qualified in by December 2017 and don't have to wait 28 days before the expiry date or do i still wait till 28days before expiry date.

Tos

You should have qualified after 6 years of DLR as you are a pre July 2012 case. You should be free to apply now.

There is no 28 days to expiry date rule. It is 28 days to completing your qualifying period and it is only a concession. Your visa expiry is irrelevant :!:
