It looks like immigration website was updated, next ceremonies will be in Spring 2020. Previously it was said by the department beginning of the the year. According to immigration website:
"The next day of citizenship ceremonies is scheduled for Spring 2020. Details will be published here when confirmed.'
from
https://www.irishimmigration.ie/citizen ... eremonies/
The next ceremony will take on Monday the 2nd and Tuesday the 3rd of March 2020.
Confirmed on the website.

This is not quite accurate. The Dail has been dissolved which technically means there are currently no ministers.
There is a clause in the constitution which essentially allows ministers a 'caretaker' role for any urgent business that needs to take place prior to the formation of the next government after the election.
This is new to me. I didn’t find any detail online but in the UK the ministers keep their jobs until the election has actually happened. MP’s are not though.

I may be incorrect. It wouldn't be the first time.

Has everyone who applied before March 2019 and after Dec 2018 received an approval? Or are there pending applications?

Hi guys.
Lets make it clear. What is approval means?
Does it mean that 950e has to be paid and send relevenat docs to Tipperary?

When did you apply ? And do they receive calls on Tuesday and Thursday ? I have tried so many times but someone picks the call and then cut it .

I have the exact timeline to you. Application mid Feb, second stage mid June. From history there should be two more rounds before ceremony. I don’t know how election will change that. I rang Tuesday and got through at 1235. I tried today unsuccessfully. I emailed my TD to enquire on my behalf but the Dail has dissolved .. so on the dark at the moment.

Thanks for the details . Let’s hope for the best . I think the decisions are being made very random and looks like it depends on the case officer. Many of my friends applied later have received approvals.
What did you mean by 2 more rounds before ceremony ? Is it approvals ?

Hi
I got the pre-approval letter on 9th Jan ( which was dated 7th Jan) and asked to submit 950eur, GNIB and pics. I sent all on 10th Jan(Friday) and they reicved it on 13th Jan (Monday) as per anpost tracking. So Guys any experience or idea when I can expect to have invitation letter ? I am desperate that If I can get the invitation letter for March ceremony. I sent an email to confirm if they recieved the draft and gnib card etc but they didnt reply to the email. I wonder why...because previously they used to reply all the time.
Please share your experiences.
Kind Regards
Akash

Just a joke seeing people who applied in 2019 getting approved when a straight forward application like mine has been pending since 2017, can’t wait for the 2020 applicants to start rolling through also. This naturalization department is one big joke.

Did you get one?
Seems much earlier than I would expect? I would have thought mid Feb? My husband got 10 days notice for the December ceremony.
