Passport for new born abroad

Hey Everyone,

I am british citizen through naturalisation route. I have one week old daughter born in Uganda and i want to apply for her British passport. Can someone guide me through procedure and what supporting documents need sending.
Just to clarify my wife is Not british we just applied for fiance visa and we haven't got the reply yet, meaning father is British national and mother is not.

Thanks so much Amber! Lastly what are the documents to required to submit with the application? I do need to do DNA? To prove that am the biological father.

Hi Amber,
Is it mandatory to send my passport as part of my first child born abroad passport application? I am sending her application next week and i will be travelling as well in the next two weeks and i can't guarantee that her passport will be out by then. Or can i use post office check in service? Pls advise thx so much U really helpful...God bless you
