IHS fiance Visa question

Post by Trios13 » Sat Feb 01, 2020 8:28 pm

I am applying for a fiancè Visa for the UK... Scotland specifically. I'm just wondering if I'll need to pay the IHS fee? There has been some confusion on this issue for me. When I went to my biometric appointment the person there asked if I had paid it. I haven't so it kind of freaked me out. But from what some people said it seems I don't since a fiancè Visa falls under the category of Visa 6 months it under. But I emailed the gov.uk site and they don't seem to give me a straight answer. Any help on clarifying this will be appreciated!

Payment of the IHS fee will only be required when you switch to a FLR(M) visa once you are married.
