Child of non EU BRP holder visit UK

Post by Skem non EU » Sun Jan 26, 2020 8:28 pm

Hi to all!
I'm non-EU BRP holder who got pre-settled status, married to EU member with settled status in UK. My child who is 15th y.o. newer been to UK, and live outside of EU would like to visit me in UK for a short period 2 weeks this summer.
How this should be organized? Open a visitor visa, or apply for pre-settled status? Or there are other ways? It could visit more times, or later can come to live with as

What is the relationship between the EEA citizen and the children?

Only the EEA citizen can sponsor anybody under the EEA Regulations.

The family member, close in this case, must be close family member of the EEA National or their spouse or civil partner. Regarding step-children of Married EEA Nationals see also:

Thanks for you reply. As i'm not an EEA member, and my son as well, non EEA member. My wife is an EEA member, so I presume my son is a stepson to my wife and can be treated as close family member to my wife, who can be a sponsor - Is that correct?
