Referee of professional standing for Naturalisation

Hi,
I am going to apply for naturalisation. I need one referee of professional standing. Its mentioned in the list that acceptable professions for referees of professional standing "Director/Manager/Personal officer of a VAT registered company". My company is a vat registered UK limited company. Can my manager qualifies as referee?
