Does JR allow me to apply for extension straightway?

Post by zed » Fri Aug 08, 2008 8:18 pm

Do I have to wait until the next year to submit an FLR extension application and migrate my visa into Tier1?
or can I submit an extension application straightway?

My EC expires on Feb/2009
My approval letter is from October/2006 (currently covered by the Judicial Review I guess)
I have been in the UK since Apr/2007...

I am just a bit concerned that the rules keep changing all the time...
The Home Office website says "If you are successful, we will grant you either three years' leave or enough leave to take you to the settlement threshold, whichever is the greater." ...
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... ionofstay/

I am just not sure if it means I can apply straightway for an extension...
Any thoughts about it?

Thanks!

Thanks Sushdmehta!...

After reading the other threads you just sent, I am assuming I will have to either wait until the last month or provide some sort of justification for applying earlier than usual :-/

I just hope the rules don't change again until the time of my visa renewal.

Kind Regards,
Zed
