Extending PBS partner who is applying for ILR within UK

Hi, my child and I recently successfully extended my PBS dependant partner visa when it was due to expire and my partner successfully got ILR. I was surprised that the information stated that I would need to apply to switch or leave the UK if my partner leaves her job. Is this true even though she has ILR? If she did decide to change jobs would I be required to switch to FLR FP. Is proof for this similar to PBS dependant except with the £22k bank balance necessary for partner and child? I was mainly surprised that my stay in the UK is dependant on my partner staying in her role also that I was suggested to take this route by a immigration advisor and not the FLR FP route.

Was the ILR granted under the 5 year route to settlement or 10 years long residence?
