Query related to Passport submission under new Tier 1 proces

Hi all,

Just wanted to know if I need to submit my passport as well while filing a Tier 1 application itself...or it will taken at the time of EC only ??

Do we need to visit to VFS center only once for both EC and application filing ??

I have a plan to go to UK for about a month on a dependent visa and would want to apply for tier 1 before i leave for UK for a month. Can I do that ?? Or they collect my Passport as well at the time of application filing itself ??

Is the application filing and EC stamping combined into one now ???

yes appl filing and ec are now combined now. as per guidance u hv to submit your passport at the time of appl. which is returned to u only after stamping.

but even i wud like to knowtht is there any way we can keep passport or get it returned in case we need it for any other international travel.
