Proof of Settled status EEA Family member entering UK

Post by OLIOLIOLI » Mon May 18, 2020 10:30 am

Hi, I`m the spouse on an EU national with Settled status, I currently have pre-settled status but will be elligble to apply for Settled Status in a month. I hold an EEA Family member permit which will expire in December 2020

How do I proof my right to be in the UK when entering the UK at the border control once my EEA Family member visa expires?

Do I need to apply for permanent residence as well as Settled status in order to obtain a new biometric permit?

Thank you

If you used your EEA document to apply for pre-settled status, then it does not expire in December 2020, bur on its printed date of expiration. See this post.

No. If you do not want to use your EEA card beyond December 2020, you can apply to convert it to a EU Settlement card, as discussed in this thread.
