Application pending... (more than 06 months)

Post by oualid_boutebba » Tue May 05, 2020 2:06 am

Hello everyone, I hope you all doing well and you are safe in this hard days of crisis .
I have a question if anyone can help me I would be very grateful.
I've applied for an EEA Family permit since the 21/10/2019 and after 2 weeks I received a letter from the Home office to enroll my biometrics, so I did and received after few days a certificate of application COA with the right of work in the Uk by the date of 15/11/2019 valid for 06 months
Since then I'm waiting for a decision for my case and to get my BRP Card and still haven't received anything since then and it's almost 06 months . I have received my passport back on the 15/03/2020 and from then I waiting for the decision but nothing has been done yet and it's really stressful time to just wait and you don't know how long it's gonna take.
my question is do you think that the decision can take more than 06 months as I still have just 01 week and it be expired, and if no will I have another COA which allow me to work in the UK.
Please help me if you can,.
Thank you very much.

Application pending... (more than 06 months)

Hi Everyone;

Please can someone help me regarding my application.
I have an application for a resident card type EEA family member, I am a non EU citizien and I'm married to EU wife from Germany, so I made an application to the H.O on the date of 21-10-2019 and my time line is
13-10-2019 : Biometric done
15-10-2019: COA received with the right of work .
15-03-2020: My passsport and my wife passport sent back.
I've sent all the proofs necessary for my application .
after the six months, I haven't received any decision
20-05-2020: I received a second COA with a new date which is valid for another 06 months, after the 06 first months of waiting.

Please can someone tells me if he had the same experience, will take more longer than 01 year to get a decision?
I tried to call on phone and sent several emails but all what I recived an answer saying that my application still open and no decision has been made yet .

Please let me know if there is something I can do and if it's gonna take longer as it is very stressful to wait for a year for an answer and to not have it .

Best regards.

Hello

Pre-Covid, I observed a timeline for EEA applications ranging from 6 weeks to 6 months. So with this situation, you may want to look at timeline posts through the forum to get a rough average.

But the mere fact that they take long, doesn't mean they are going to refuse you.

I have seen refusals after a few weeks and successful applications taking ages. You can't really guess an outcome based on the time.

What is roughly the average start-completion time, for a non-EU spouse that has just landed in the UK with an EU Settlement Scheme Family Permit, applying online (for non-resident status) and actually receiving the 5-year BRP?

Pre-settled status I meant, not non-resident.
