SET(M)Financial Requirement and English Language Query

Post by nadiabilalkhan » Tue Jun 16, 2020 11:16 pm

Dear All,

Need your help with regards to my SET (M) application. I am about to complete five years in the country on 5-year dependent visa route on 24th June.

With regards to the English language requirement, I have booked my B1 English test for 22nd June but I fear that result will arrive before my visa expires. It took me ages to find this exam slot due to current pandemic. So I was wondering if I could submit expired IELTS certificate which I used for my initial application back in 2015.

With regards to the financial requirement, I work as a GP and meet the financial requirement from my own earnings. So I was wondering if I can just submit my payslips/bank statements and do not include my husband's salary details etc. This is just to avoid submitting unnecessary extra documentation.

Would really appreciate your feedback on this.

Many thanks

You do not need an English pass test to apply online. Simply apply online and upload the document when you have it. You do NOT need your husbands income evidence at all. I assume you are employed (you are NOT working for yourself or self-employed)

Hi Zimba,

Many thanks for your reply. With regards to my job, I am employed and working 2.5 days ( 5 sessions) in the local surgery. My employment contract with the surgery is fixed term from Feb 2017 to October 2020. I am considering to start practising in another surgery from October onwards. I hope this should not be a problem.

I look forward to your reply.
