EC requirements for Infant in US

I submitted online apps for dependents (wife & child 5 months) and at the end of application, it asked me to make appontment for biometrics colletion. (only in my wife's app)
But in my child's application I didn't see any biometric appointment question at the end.
I tried to find the requirements for EC for childs but couldn't find some helpful info.
Please help me if you know whether biometrics are required for infants (upto 6 months) or not ? or any other form of identity needed
I'm going to mail the passports and forms in day or two in their California British Consulate.
