How to gat British passport of a child who is British by Descent and born outside the UK

Hi,
I will be grateful if anyone knows, how to gat British passport of a child who is British by Descent and born outside the UK?
The child have got ROA and living in the UK.
Passpot office needs UK birth certificate (I believe) , which I don't have. Any one know about it?

No need for a British birth certificate, but original birth certificate (and translation, if not in English) is needed.

So just apply for British passport with foreign birth certificate, I guess.
