Employment Question

Post by jhalakp » Mon Jul 20, 2020 11:18 pm

Hi Moderators,

I would like to ask a question regarding employment for ILR application. I am on Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa at the moment. I need to make my application in March 2021. Unfortunately 1 of my employee was on furlough for the past 3 months. He is back to work from this July which means I can only show his 9 months for employment. Rest 2 of my employees left their job before March. Hence I will be recruiting 2 more staffs from August as my work is picking up.

So my question is, can I claim points for employement on following:

Employee 1 - 9 months full time
Employee 2 - 8 months full time
Employee 3 - 8 months full time

Total - 25 months

Am I eligible for this? Also, can you please guide me on what other documents I need to provide for my application? I am sure this question would have been asked millions of time but I am really sorry I was unable to get this information anywhere else.

Thanks in advance

Regards
J

“ If you’re on a Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa and your business has been disrupted
You no longer need to employ at least 2 people for 12 consecutive months. The 12 month period you’re required to employ someone for can be made up of multiple jobs across different months.

Time when your employees were furloughed will not count towards the 12 month period.

If you’ve not been able to employ staff for 12 months by the time your visa expires, you’ll be allowed to temporarily extend your stay to give you time to meet the requirement.

These arrangements will continue for applications made after 31 May 2020, where the jobs you’re relying on were disrupted due to coronavirus.”
