Voluntarily returned to home country

Post by Umer nomi » Tue Jul 21, 2020 7:52 am

Dear Forum Members,
I hope you’re All doing well in these times. I’ve lived in UK for just over 10 years. In December 2019 I’ve voluntarily returned to my home country. In 2017 my visa application was refused by the home office however I’ve went through the procedure of JR and higher tribunal. During this process I’ve left the UK as a volunteer and Im in my home country. I have been told by the home office rep at the airport time of exiting UK that I don’t have any restriction if I would to come back to UK. Plus I’ve flicked through my whole passport and couldn’t find any BAN stamp on it. Never the less the law of UKVI states that there might be a BAN of 12 months if an individual leaving UK voluntarily. I’ve got a job offer from UK and they are asking me to apply for visa ASAP. Can you please suggest , should I wait for another 5 months to apply for visa clearance or should I just apply for the visa as sponsor requested.

PS- my SAR doesn’t show any type of BAN either.

Many thanks In advance !

If you were an overstayer when you left the UK, then there may be a ban.
