Can I renew my daughter’s British passport without the British father details

Hello everyone, it’s my first post on here. I was wondering if I can renew my daughters passport without her British fathers details My daughters father is refusing to give me details to renew Our daughters passport. Am a non British mum currently on the fLR FP visa 10 years routes.. thanks in advance guys

Oh thanks for your reply, I don’t understand what it means to have parental responsibility but I am a single mum and I care and provide for my daughter by myself. I don’t even know the where about of her dad, do I need to get a court order for parental responsibility?? Sorry for my silly questions I’ve never been to court

Parental responsibility, assigned to a parent, through a binding agreement with the other partner or court order, means the parent can decide and act on behalf of the child without referring to the other partner, as far as I know.
Q4 mentioned has also got a note "NOTE: the person who signs the declaration on the form must have parental responsibility for the child."

Oh I see yes definitely I have parental responsibility for my child. Does that mean I can sign the form for her passport renewal without her father’s signature I’m not British, he is refusing to sign just to make like difficult for us. thanks you so much for your help

Usually parental responsibility is a legal agreement not just who takes care of the child. You said, you do not have that, which can make things a little tricky.

A mother automatically has parental responsibility from birth. What I am unsure is about the “sole” responsibility, in case of single parent.
