FLR visa problem!!!!

Post by Chris » Fri Apr 15, 2005 2:53 pm

Hi

I am on Work Permit visa from last 1 year. I had my wife with me in UK for 3 months and went back to home country India.

3 months back I got an offer from another company and they agreed to file my Work Permit.
They filed my WP in Feb 2005. While filing the detail in the WP form the solicitor never bothered to ask me wheather I am married or not. I was in the impression that the solicitor will ask for any details required. She didnt fill my family details at all. I got my WP Document last week approved.

Between the time my WP was processed my wife applied as a dependant visa in India on my current WP and came to UK a month back. I am above to apply for FLR. I told them that I would be sending them mine and my dependants passport for FLR stamping.

They told that I cannot send them my dependants visa as they never filled the dependant's detail in my original WP document.

My question is Can I include my dependant in the FLR document in this situation or will they reject my FLR visa on for this.

I am really confused!!!
Can anyone answer this query please!!

Thanks,
Chris

Just a couple of things, Have you looked at the WP application form? I am not sure if it asks anything your dependents. [experts please comment].
another thing, IMHO (i stand to be corrected) if your wife is already on a dependent visa, i dont see why there is need for you to include her on your current FLR application. of course the duration of the visa might come into mind e.g if her dependent visa's duration is not up to the time you will apply for ILR. even so you can still submit a separate application for wife / kids later on.[again experts please comment]

f2k, Thanks for the reply.

My wife is on dependant visa at the moment and her visa runs out in Apr 3005 end.

There is a questiohn in WP for is the candidate married or not. If yes then the name date of birth of the spouse etc...

FLR again containts the details of the dependant I reckon only if I need to include them in the FLR application.

Thanks,
chris
