Hello everyone.
I am on a tier 2 as a teacher at a school (Music teacher). I have written a song that I want to put online for people to listen to but I need to do this through a distribution company who pay out royalties. It really won't be much (it might only be around £5 a year) but it still needs to be done. I am worried that I can't do this as I am sponsored and this might seem like self employment. If the distribution company is from the UK they will then have records of sending me money, even if it's 10 pence! I just don't want to be caught in something and then not get ILR in two years.
I have a business number in Australia and could maybe link it to that and set it up to my Australian bank account? (Before I moved over here I used my business number in Aus for my music)
I would really appreciate some thoughts on this - I just don't know who to talk to about it.
