It looks like they don’t really follow the application time. I applied on 28th March actually and still waiting, this is insane... I opted out as it was suggested for urgent situations.
Now does anyone know if any applicant applied in March got an appointment email?

I think people who haven't received appointments yet shouldn't panic. The email stated that the appointments will be released w/c 10 Aug.
Today is the first day when opt out applicants started getting appointments. The week still hasn't finished. Their opt out system is driven using email and not automated (manual system update involved by a person).
So, a little more patience, that's all
Hope no one gets disappointed.

I applied on 29 March, opted out on 3rd of August. Got email this evening and booked the appointment. Check your UKVCAS account, maybe you can see appointments before the email arrives.

I am eligible to apply for LR from 21 August onward. I had planned for premium service (before covid), but since premium service have been suspended it has created a complex situation. I see lot of people are opting out, is it from reuse of BRP? I had the impression that reuse of BRP and the UKVCA app would facilitate the process.Thanks.

Can someone please let me know the number for contacting UKVCAS. I get disconnected after a few minutes every time I call the number 0844 8920232

This is the correct number, the reason why you got hang up is likely due to the fact that there’s a cap on your monthly spending on your mobile bills. Calling UKVCAS is extremely expensive - 4p per minute is just the standard charge, there’s also network access charge which is expensive and varies -, and the information you’ll receive is of very little help.

I applied in July but did not even receive a biometric reuse email. - I have had my biometrics taken in the past five years. Hopefully I get some sort of correspondence before the end of this month.

Just to check how long it will take for HO to send the decision email after biometric is submitted. I have seen some people getting a decision within a few days but is this a new norm? Anyone who has been waiting for a while after biometric is taken?

Spoken to ukvcas. And they were not accepting that they sent any email with deadline of 10th August but the only deadline which was given for opt out is 7th. Moreover, they were unable to find my email which I sent to opt out. So I resent these again. No news about when they would allow the biometrics of those who opted out.

Has anyone else contacted ukvcas to check if they have received your opt out emails?

I don’t want to make a 25pound phone call just to check if my email has been received.
Also it would be too late as the deadline has passed.
Could you please share the format of your previous email please?

Just FYI, I've found that the cheapest way to call UKVCAS is by Skype. The total cost including UKVCAS's fee was £0.11/min. This is significantly cheaper than the £0.59/min charged by some mobile phone providers

No. Was checking almost whole night for any update. But nothing. Has anybody tried looking for appointments on ukvcas yet, might be they have opened the system for those opting out on deadline date of 10th August and emails are not pushed through the system yet. Just a thought!

Nothing yet, I was also checking in night there was no appointments available on UKVCAS. They may send invites for remaining people by end of the day.

Is there anyone who didn't get invite and who opted out on or before 7th August? I opted out on 7th Aug 10 pm.

I only just checked my emails this morning and got the appointment email last night. The closest appointment in London was 28 Aug but managed to get an appointment in Croydon 18Aug. The relief. Starting to see the finishing line now.

Hi ilr_applicant, You do not need a calling plan. You just need to put some credit in your account. Probably good to enable auto-top up in case the call goes on for a while, but I only needed the initial credit I put in my account. Total call cost with a 9 person queue at 10am was around £3.50

Also: it took a while to connect. The Skype dial tone played for probably a minute before the UKVCAS line answered.
