Does my fiancee have to leave the UK?

Hi, we'd really appreciate if anyone could point us towards any guidance on this topic - struggling to find confirmation.

My fiancee entered the UK on a 6 month fiance visa at start of the year which was granted until the end of June. Our wedding in March had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, but we were finally able to reschedule it on the 7th of August. We were given the standard visa extension to the end of July, and she's currently still in the UK within the 30 day grace period until the end of August. We've just received our marriage certificate and submitted our application for a spouse visa today. However, the processing time is 8 weeks, so will she still have to leave the UK before the end of August?

You stated been given the standard extension till end of July and currently on grace period i.e. HO aware and you are complying with the changes occasioned by the pandemic. Haven made an application to switch the fiance visa to spouse visa after getting your marriage certificate, so section 3C covers her with the retention of same rights as she had under the fiance visa till you hear the result of the application submitted.
