Follow-to-join question

Post by Parn » Mon Sep 01, 2008 8:45 am

My parents are applying green card through my older brother (USC citizen). I am the half-brother (my dad got marry with his mom). I am 25 years old and unmarried. I went to talk to one immigrant lawyer about follow-to-join benefits. The lawyer said that I am qualify for this creteria and the lawyer added my name to his parents's petition. I already got EAD card and the lawyer said that he will get his green card in this coming Dec. I am wondering after I read though this forum. The expert said that the immediate relative of USC is not qualify for the follow-to-join benefits. However, I got EAD and will get green card soon. I was wondering that will it make a problem later or not. If anyone knows, please give me some advice.
