Infact she gave her Balmoral Castle for all of them and their future generations to live comfortably.
All bills paid as well.

Due to the huge demand for this event it has regertably been decided that it is an all ticket event.
Tickets will be reasonably priced (TBA), no entry at the door, all available on a first come first served basis only. Four tickets per person only.
For those disappointed after the inevitable sell out success of the tour:
A DVD special of the event "Tripping the Tartan Fantastic" will be in the shops 8th Jan 2009....... Directors cut due mid March.

Hmmm it had better be worth the wait. It would be nice to see whif all the fuss was worthy of our impatience.

Ok guys, who wants to give Iceman the.. harumph. the
serious answer?
I did miss a few of her Christmas speeches so don't look at me..
Iceman
Would this.. this "ILR" have been granted on applications made anytime between February and October 2000? How do you think it might benefit your family now?
Oh, the drama...!

The only thing that I can think of that connects words "Family, ILR and 2000" is family amnesty for those who claimed asylum before October 2000. But there were more than 50 people and not only in Scotland.
What was so speacial about those 50 families? Perhaps they celebrated their diamond wedding anniversaries and instead of a usual card the Queen decided to send them ILR.

hmm.. your Family Amnesty sounds more feasible than my Regularisation of Overstayers Scheme. Especially as its ongoing...could be that.
Iceman, where did you get the information? Can you expand?

Iceman
There was no ILR granted by the Queen in 2000. She can not grant ILR for one thing and why would 50 families be granted in Scotland only.
I guess someone is extracting the urine. Can you imagine the problems that would be caused if an ad hoc selection of families or individuals were granted ILR!
The WWW would be full of the story if it was ever or ever did happen so rest assured this is a urban myth at best or someone taking the mick at worst.

LOL, someone IS 'extracting the urine' & doing a petty fine job of it on iceman. He needs to put that person on ice. Too funny Frontier Mole.

Why don't you play his game? Tell him she gave you British citizenship and added you to her will.
