ILR - passport change still not acknowleged

Post by starflee » Mon Sep 28, 2020 4:34 pm

Hi,

I have submitted my application, and I should attend the UKVCAS appointment soon. I have the ILR via the settled scheme. However, I changed my passport after I got ILR. I did notify Home Office and sent the new passport. They returned it saying that the record will be updated soon.

It was a few months ago, and they still haven't done. I checked online that my ILR is still attached to my old passport data.

I'm unsure what do to. Should I attach a letter via UKVCAS appointment explaining that while I have valid ILR the old passport data is attached to it? Include the letter from the Home Office and the old passport number?

You can use your new current passport for naturalisation. You are free to attach a letter explaining but the main requirement (passport+ILR) has been met.
