Saving time is a valid point. But most solicitors are going to require a meeting you two and ask you tons of questions as they are filling your application. So at the end of the day, you may spend longer filling up the solicitors about your details/situation.

I honestly don’t think getting a solicitor to do these for you would save you any time. If anything, it would take you more time to find a solicitor, research their reputation, talk to the solicitor etc. All the solicitor can do is to fill in that application form. The solicitor is still going to ask YOU to provide all the utility bills, bank statements etc. The solicitor also has to ask YOU to provide all your personal details (any offences, parents details, three Irish citizens’ signatures etc).
You can get a Solicitor, a Peace Commissioner, a Notary public or a Commissioner for Oaths. I'd say that 90% of eligible people are solicitors.
