Convention Travel Documents application time experience

Hello all, Anyone applying to renew an expired travel document despite the note on uk.gov site saying don’t apply unless you have a compassionate reason? I have refrained from applying because of this but looks like people here are applying anyway?

I got on an update on my application yesterday by email saying my application was approved. I'll have to wait 10 working days to receive it

Hi, no they did not send an email to say they have posted the document. They just sent the passport directly so be ready

I am looking to apply for a convention travel doc as a refugee but it states that proof is required and they want originals.
Does anyone know what proof they require for someone who has lost a loved one. Death certificates are not being issued so not sure what to include?

Just checking - the compassionate email that you sent to the HO, was it from your employer? a doctor or you just submitted a proof of being a keywords (ID card)?
