Updated table after additional approvals. So far, the output of the model has not changed materially.
Has anyone had a ceremony in Nottingham Council recently guys?
That is right. The registrars emails is hit and miss. I havent received my letter yet but when I made enquiries, I got a response giving me two personal email addresses saying who to contact for zoom and who for the in person ceremonies, depending on your preference. The forum rules do not allow to post individual names, so if you do not hear back on the registrar email address, I recommend emailing them again Thursday mornings, that is when I used to get immediate responses to queries.serg_ko wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 4:57 pmHi, guys!
Has anybody booked a ceremony at Southwark Council recently?
I received an invitation letter today, called them in the morning and after long waiting on the phone had a chat with a guy who told me that they don't book ceremonies buy phone and I should send an email to
registrars@southwark.gov.uk. I sent an email and nothing came back yet. It's weird and I'm starting to worry cause I have only 5 days left for booking a ceremony according invitation letter (21 days after invitation letter date which is 19 September)
Thank you for your response. Actually I also have those personal emails. I sent an email to a person responsible for small group ceremonies along with email to registrars but they didn't answer either.Runner12345 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 5:11 pmThat is right. Sorry to hear that. However, please do post here once you receive the invite, especially the date on it. Also, if you do manage to get an update from the HO by phone or email, please do let everyone here know about it, omitting peoples' names and the like, of course.
How did you contact the HO? I got approved in April and still haven't received an invitation letter. Just hoping my application is not lost...Frou01 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:31 pmIt’s great many people have received invitations and some had the chance to book ceremonies.
However that’s far too slow just being by beginning June at that stage! I don’t think it’s good news in general except for the individuals (and a 4 months wait is such a long time and like I said it’s good that wait has ended now for those being approved for such long time).
I got approved 10 August. Of course I don’t have an invitation yet. However I have contacted HO and got a cryptic response saying things like “ I can confirm that action has already been taken to resolve the matter...”
Whatever that means.
You need to wait for 1 year after your ISLAND apply for naturalisation...Milind wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 8:35 pmHello,
I applied for ILR on 12/01/2020. My application was successful and received a letter from the Home Office on 11/03/2020. But since then I have been waiting for a second invitation letter to attend a citizenship ceremony at Ealing Council.
I have emailed home office many times but they never replied. I have called them and they said I should receive it but they couldn't tell me when.
What I can see from other people posting their experience on this forum, I should have received my second letter long time ago.
Is there anything I can do, Please suggest.
Regards,
Milind

You might be on the wrong thread here
You should probably reach out to the Register Office of your local authority to check if they have your certificate. Your Home Office reference number on the approval letter is the number that should be on your certificate. If they haven't received it, I would ask Home Office helpline how to escalate the matter.Milind wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 9:28 pmOpps, so sorry.![]()
I mean British citizenship not ILR

Could you post here if you get any information from the HO?
If it is Nottingham city council, I have ceremony on the 13th of October. They said they are doing it based on how many certificates they receive each month. For eg. They only doing group ceremony and 15 people at a time and this month they have 3 of them.

While we assume that they are working in strict date order, apparently, that is not true 100% of the time. The HO does mention the end-of-October deadline for approvals before 7 August, so perhaps your invite will arrive any day now. If not, it might be worth escalating in November.
