MN1 form for child born abroad

Post by Faith20 » Wed Oct 14, 2020 11:27 pm

Many thanks to the moderators of this platform for giving us hope and advice
I am filling the form MN1 for my 10 year old child born abroad. We all got ILR in 2018 as a family. I got my naturalisation application approved and awaiting citizenship ceremony invitation. Father still trying to pass Life In the UK test.
Now my question is about the child’s form. When I’m asked about child’s immigration application history, I’m giving the information of the applications I filed for all the family. I was main applicant but the family members names were mentioned as dependents. So where I need to fill the name in which immigration application filed should I write my name in that box or my daughter’s.
Another question bothering me is in an initial question’s reply I mentioned there is no advisor or legal representative for this application. But in the end when it comes to tick the declaration acceptance I’m given two options. One says applicant another says representative. I have to pick one option only. I am not sure applicant is allowed to sign declaration as being just 10 year old child or I should tick another box which says representative?

I will really appreciate your support as I need to complete submission of this application and feeling stuck at the moment.

The question asks details about the applicant’s UK immigration applications NOT family’s! Only your daughter’s immigration applications are needed and it will be her name

HO knows the child is young and can not sign. HO knows the applicant is the parent on behalf of the child. Tick applicant. Legal representative is a lawyer etc
