How to proof domestic violence as a result of overstay

Post by Aylahdalel » Sun Oct 25, 2020 12:00 pm

Hello,
I arrived to UK on N March 2012 As a family visitor and was fully supported by my brother,on the same year I met met my boyfriend who at the time who had drown me in a lifetime tragedy. He was so manipulating and abusive that T was nearly treated like Slave and commanded my life.I ended up living with me and overstayed my visa that ended on march 2013.During that time I had no legal rights in the country and he was the one that supported me.Until I had severe depression he decided that we got married on april 2014 and applied for a valid residence through the Eea route.
I was granted ILR on dec 2019 and was hoping to apply for naturalisation and to get discretion for the overstay as the reason was mainly the domestic violence prevented me from taking my own decision.
The problem is. Don’t know how to evidence this to the home office (I already divorced my ex and have a child).
I don’t want to waste the huge fees as I am a hard financial difficulties
