Thanks. So what sort of records does the Home Office have? I assume they have a record of my immigration history (that I came to my country with my parents) and how I naturalised (through my parents's indefinite leave to remain)?Zerubbabel wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 10:22 pmHello
As naturalised, you can't get these documents from the Home Office. You will always need to get birth certificate from your original country. The Home Office doesn't copy these records locally when you become naturalised.
Surely there'd be records of who my parents are on my Home Office record, so I wouldn't need my parents' records anyway? Like what's the difference between a document saying my parents are my parents, vs a document saying my parent's son/daughter is me?Zerubbabel wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 3:19 pmFor all practical purposes, you can consider that they have nothing.
Yes, they keep records but if you are lodge an application for your family, you can't ask the Home Office to check their records. You need to demonstrate your relationship using documents from your birth country when you apply for your parents.
