Naturalisation queries - passport expiry and long vacation

Hello everyone!
I apologise in advance if I’m not posting this in the right section as I’m new to this forum

I’m applying with 5 year tier 2 +ilr (1 year)
If someone could answer the following queries I would be very grateful:

-I would like to apply for naturalisation asap and get the process started. My current passport is due to expire in 5 months and I will have to renew it since I’m guessing the citizenship process will take longer. Would this be a problem? I’m happy to send the details of my new passport to add to the application later but I don’t want to unnecessarily complicate the process. I did see change of address forms but didn’t really see anything related to passport details.

-I have read that I’m allowed to travel while the naturalisation process is underway, I have asked a friend to keep an eye on my post but I will be taking a break from Uk for a few months next year to help out family with some projects. Would this be an issue? Or is it preferable to postpone any long breaks till after a decision is reached?

You do not have to get it renewed if you do not plan to travel. If you plan to travel, obviously you will have to get it renewed. UKVI asks for your current passport details, so if you renew, it is best to send a copy to HO

You can travel on ILR before you become British i.e. attend your ceremony

Since I will need to travel I’ll have to renew the passport during the process. I’ll email HO my updated passport details and it should not be an issue I hope?
