HELP Vary tier-2 dependent extension to tier 2 general

Hi All,

I would greatly appreciate if someone can guide me on this.

Applied for Tier 2 dependent extension along with the main applicant on 10 September 2020.
Current leave expired on 15 October 2020.
Received email from work sponsor that decision is delayed and it will take more than 8 weeks.
Got a job offer with tier 2 sponsorship.
Applying to vary my current leave. (in country switch due to current relaxation)

I am stuck on this question on my tier-2 general application:
"What is your current status?"
Should I tick 'no visa or leave to remain'. And then No BRP for most recent leave?


Also I am assuming that if I vary my dependent application(UAN xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx/01), main applicant and other dependents application will not be affected.
