Tier 2 Visa Extension

Hi,

I am currently on a tier 2 ICT Visa and I am looking for some help to ascertain if I am eligible for an extension of the Tier 2 ICT (or any other category) visa by 1 year. I have been in the UK for a total of 9 years and 7 months. My visa history in the UK is as follows:

Past & current UK Visa (Valid from / Valid To):

1. Tier 2 ICT - 21 Feb 2011 to 01 Mar 2014 [First entry to UK on 11 April 2011]
2. Tier 2 General - 27 Feb 2014 to 15 Mar 2016
3. Tier 2 ICT - 19 Feb 2016 to 15 Mar 2021

As per the Tier 2 ICT rules I have checked, the maximum stay allowed for Tier 2 ICT is 5 years (9 years if you earn more than £120,000 a year). I am in the salary bracket of more than £120,000 a year.

The questions I am not clear and would appreciate help with are as follows:

1. Am I eligible for a 1-year extension of my Tier 2 ICT visa? If yes would the extension category be Tier 2 ICT or can it be Tier 2 General?

2. The category for the second visa (27 Feb 2014 to 15 Mar 2016) on my BRP is mentioned as "Tier 2 General". Is it at all possible that it is a typo on BRP and in-home office records it is actually "Tier 2 ICT." Should I be worried about it? Or is it that I am overthinking it as it cannot be "Tier 2 ICT" because if that were the case then my Visa number 3 (19 Feb 2016 to 15 Mar 2016) could have only been for a maximum of 4 years (making my total overall ICT period starting from 2011 as 9 years).

Hi,

I am looking for clarity on my eligibility for an extension on my Tier 2 ICT visa in UK. My Past and current Visa history in UK are as follows:

Past & current UK Visa (Valid from / Valid To) :

1. Tier 2 ICT (established staff) - 21 Feb 2011 to 01 Mar 2014 [Date of first entry to UK 11 April 2011]
2. Tier 2 General (leave to remain) - 27 Feb 2014 to 15 Mar 2016
3. Tier 2 ICT (long term leave to remain) - 19 Feb 2016 to 15 Mar 2021

I fall under the income bracket of more than 120,000 GBP per annum. I have been with the same company for all 10 years in the UK and the company is willing to continue to sponsor my Visa.

The QUESTION is:

1. Am I eligible for an extension on my Tier 2 Visa
2. If yes under what category should I apply for that extension
3. What is the maximum period of extension that I am eligible for.

hi Sorry I did not understand your comment. Are you saying they I am not eligible for another extension on Tier 2 ICT? If yes can you please elaborate as it would help me. Thanks.
