Please can someone who has been following this thread, be kind enough to give me a summary of what is happening with ceremonies.
What is the average time for ceremonies after approval letter? Any other suggestions?
Thank you
He calculated a quite correct model of posting and arriving invitation letters depending on your approval date. Some people confirmed that the model works.

Now that we have reached mid-July approvals with ceremony invites, let's take stock of the timeline projections. Better-than expected performance with respect to letter-sending timeline for some recent approvals has prompted me to the previous scrap point estimate for the arrival date of the invite and replace it with an empirically established range. The idea is to give a greater weight to more recent information.

Did you receive the invitation letter via the postal redirection? I thought Royal Mail doesn’t redirect gov letters.Kamipu wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 12:58 pmHi all,
Just now received my Ceremony invitation letter and I already manage to book the group ceremony with Newham council for the date of 1st December. (thought will do straight private ceremony as it will make things faster, the earliest date was 14th January. Then I checked group ceremonies and it was available 20th November, and 4 days week after and 30th November, too). So now so happy and waiting for my ceremony, it was written that it will take place in Newham Registry Office, so seems like they are not providing the online ceremonies, and still ceremonies are taking place during the lockdown. Letter states that I have to contact my council within 21 day, but from the date on letter it passed already 22 day, still managed to book.
Will write my timeline here:
Date of application: 5 August 2020
Date of biometrics:19 August 2020
Decision email: 2 September 2020
Letter date: 27 October 2020
Letter received: (I have a redirection as moved out recently from my council) 18 November 2020
I have done this and they were able to book me in for a week earlier than my actual ceremony.JanisZiemelis wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 8:10 pmFrou01,Frou01 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 7:32 pmThank you!otuel wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 6:49 pmCongratulations Frou01Frou01 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 1:12 pmI’m so happy to say, my invitation letter has arrived now.
Dated 5th November.
I have been approved 10 August.
My certificate has arrived last week with my council and I have already booked a ceremony for beginning December.
However as my last piece of puzzle is now completed I can book a private ceremony and will make up my mind if I will book the sooner appointment offered by my Registry Office.
Dear everyone, thank you for all support and patience.
I will be around as I truly hope you all have your good news soon.

Happy days!
Just a suggestion, get in touch with the B'ham Register Team (you should have their email, if you received the invitation from them) and ask them if there are any late cancellations. And if there are not, ask them to keep you up to date.
I say this, because, my ceremony was due to take place next week (24th) with the earliest private ceremony being available tomorrow (17th). However, instead of getting the private ceremony, I asked them if there were any cancellations and as luck would have it - someone cancelled their tomorrow's appointment. So I'm going to attend in their place instead - a week earlier and without having to get the private ceremony!
Just a thought![]()
Congratulations and goood luck with the ceremony.tauqeer81 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 12:44 pmCeremony Invitation letter received.
I must say that the model by baybars1 is absolutely spot on for Spet approval as well.
"08/09/2020 - - - 06/11/2020 - - - from 13/11/2020 - - - to 27/11/2020"
Applied 21 May; approved 11-Sept.
and the date on the invitation letter is 4/11 (model prediction is 6/11 - this is as good as you can expect).
I made an enquiry (Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.uk) and I was told that the letter and the certificate were sent on 11/11 so it is to be noted that the print date is not the same as the dispatch date. I received the letter today 19/11 and my council received the certificate on 12 or 13th I guess but I was contacted on 16th Nov.
Hello I thought no photos allowed in the ceremonies? Did anyone have any experience at KCC MAIDSTONE? Any answer really appreciated. Thank youILR1980 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 12:41 pmI just had my ceremony today. It literally took less than 10 minutes for affirmation and national anthem. Only me, registrar and photographer was there. It was optional to buy photographs but paid £13 for digital photo with queen portrait and british flag and piad £8 for passport size photo which will use for online passport application. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting and hope you all get it soon

How long did it take for Citizenship.Support to reply to you?
I emailed them on 02 Nov but they haven't replied yet.
