Naturalisation after ILR abased on domestic violence

Post by Gal31 » Sat Nov 28, 2020 6:57 am

Hi, I was wondering if I could naturalise after ilr based on domestic violence under the spouse of a British citizen . I've been in the uk for 3 years and have been separated from the husband. I do have a copy of his photo side passport page and a few other pages( which have expired a month ago) . I don't think he'll give me his passport to apply as he was upset I left after dv.
Is there any other steps to take if I want to apply for citizenship under the spouse of a BC?

You have to wait 1 year after ILR to apply for BC, given you meet all the requirements then including 5 years residence. You can apply in your own right then.
