How to write my pay in 7.4 in SET(M)

Post by Spouse » Thu Sep 18, 2008 1:09 pm

Hi

My partner is going to apply for ILR.

My net pay is about 900 pounds per month after income tax, NI and other deductions.

I have been receiving child benefit (my own name), child tax credit and working tax credit (joint names), the total is about 110 pounds per week.

Would somebody tell me how to write the amount in section 7.4 in SET(M) (i.e. If so, what is his/her pay each month after income tax and other deductions)? Should I write 900 pounds in the box (and write the total amount of the child benefit and tax credits in a separate paper) or the total amount, i.e. 1371 pounds, of 900 pounds plus 110/7 x 30 = 471 pounds in the box?

Would the total amount of the my child benefit and tax credits be counted as my income?

Early replies would be appreciated.

I don't think so

Hi, i am applying for SET(M) in 2 weeks as well. You don't need to calculate child benifits and tax credit amount. Just put total amount which you receive after deducting tax.

In section 7.6, under child tax credit, did you tick both boxes?

Thanks

Hi Umar,

My partner will apply for ILR at PEO in Oct 08

In section 7.6, I shall tick one box only.

If I write my pay only in 7.4, I am afraid that my finances may not be sufficient to support my family and my partner's application would be rejected immediately. My pay plus my tax cretits will be sufficient for the maintenance of my family. I do not know if tax creidts will be counted as my pay or not. I wish some successful applicants for ILR would share their experience here, please.

Will you/your partner apply for ILR at PEO? If so, please let me know if the total of a pay and tax credits can be written in 7.4 after ILR has been granted.

I have been advised that proof of adequate accommodation for a family is not needed for application for ILR. Is it true? Have you prepared for this?

Hi, I am applying end of this month in liverpool PEO office.

I am just adding my salary after Tax deduction. I am really not sure if you can add up child tax credit and child benifits with your salary becuase on form it is asking for salary.

Is your husband working? He needs to prove that he can live without claiming Public Benifits.

Does anyone help you financilly like your parents or anyone else if Yes then you can put their details as well. In this case you need to show their bank statements.

After reading your first message, i think your earning will support your husbands application. If your hubby got his FLR(M) on the basis of your same Net income then he should be okay this time.

Thanks

Hi Umar,

My partner does not work.

I have an additional child after my parter has got a spouse visa and my income is less than before, so counting tax credits as my pay/income is very important to me.

Hi John or other successful candidates for ILR,

Could you kindly give your opinions?

Any proof of adequate accommodation is needed for application for ILR?

Not that I am aware of. As you will know from the SET(M) form, it asks about your accommodation (is it rented, owned, etc.), but you do not need to supply further details.

This sounds risky to me, but I'm not the expert. Have you checked the Claiming Benefits section of the forum for further advice?
