Advice needed...strange situation

Hi,
My hushband got his Tier 1 Visa earlier this month. I am planning to apply now. Please clarify the following questions for me...
1. I need to show 2800+1600(for baby) as maintenance funds. Can I show the money from my husband's account? ( same money that he used for his Tier 1 application)? Or is it advisable to transfer the money to another joint account and wait for 3 months?

2. Can I show the amount as gift money from my dad? if yes, what are the supporting docs needed?

3. Or should I transfer the money into my salary account?

which is a better approach? please pour in your suggestions.

Are you applying as your husband's dependant or as a seperate tier1 applicant?

I am applying independently. Not as his dependent.

It will be nice that you transfer the money to your salary account. As you are applying as an independent tier1 applicant its not advisable to show maint funds from your husband's account.

You cannot use the same funds to support your own application. Not commenting on if and how BHC can get to the bottom of the money trail, but think over it carefully whether you want to take the risk.

(It seems) Now joint accounts with anyone are acceptable (not just restricted to spouses), so you might want to consider using funds available to you elsewhere (mom, dad etc. etc.). Reading this will help.
